Welcome to Casa Mural San Miguel — a light-filled home anchored by a dramatic 20-foot mural, where rooftop living invites you to experience authentic San Miguel. Sip coffee with a glimpse of the Parroquia, explore Centro by day, and return home for rooftop sunset cocktails. This artful home offers a calm and inspiring place to exhale after a full day in town. The home comfortably accommodates up to four guests across multiple levels and is well suited for longer stays.
First Floor Living:
The living area includes a leather sofa, lounge chair, and rustic bench for flexible seating. A large smart TV on a movable lift stand can be positioned anywhere.
Custom iron and wood cabinetry lines the kitchen wall, complemented by historical photographs and sculptural Mexican pottery, with a convenient coffee center.
The fully equipped kitchen (with whole-house purified water), dining area, and living space are anchored by the expansive landscape mural — soft tones that echo the Talavera-tiled stairwell.
The primary bedroom features a king bed, closet, and ensuite shower bathroom. A shaded garden room offers a bar-height table and stools — perfect for morning coffee — with a glimpse of the Parroquia.
Second Floor:
Upstairs, the second bedroom offers a queen bed, closet, shower bathroom, and smart TV on a swing-style wall mount. French doors open to a balcony with seating with a lovely view toward the iconic Parroquia.
Two workspaces support longer stays:
• A landing workstation with monitor, keyboard, and mouse for laptop use
• A desk beside light-filled French doors in the 2nd floor bedroom
High-speed WiFi included.
Rooftop
The rooftop is a true gem. This shared space features a custom Parota wood bar — perfect for sunset cocktails as the Parroquia glows at golden hour, your third vantage point of the city’s most iconic landmark.
Terra cotta pots filled with bougainvillea and succulents create a rooftop garden atmosphere. Lounge chairs, hammock, and shaded pergola offers flexible dining with space for rest and gathering. Edison lights add warm evening ambiance.
For larger groups, both sides of the home may be available to rent together, allowing expanded use of the space.
Located in Colonia Santa Julia, near the edge of Independencia, the home offers breathing room from Centro while remaining close enough to walk or Uber to the action.
Santa Julia is primarily residential. Compared to Centro, traffic and fireworks are lighter. That said, this is Mexico — a vibrant city where church bells, music, fireworks, and neighborhood dogs are part of the authentic rhythm of daily life.
Walk to Guadalupe for breakfast spots and continue to Centro via Mercado de Artesanías. Continue to the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, El Jardín, museums, and then return home for rooftop sunset and a book in the breeze.
Between Warren Hardy Spanish School and Tacos Don Felix, the neighborhood offers street tacos, roasted chicken, bakeries, and tiny mercados.
